This formula is designed for any CMYK only prints. Basically, this is when you are printing a WHITE or light colored garment with CMYK only. It provides brighter colors, sharper prints, and better wash durability. Try it on WHITE POLYESTER for an incredible long lasting, sharp & vibrant print!

ULTRA is is still a favorite by some of our Image Armorcustomers. Designed for white ink printing on mid to dark colored garments, ULTRA is one of our original formulations that helped give us the reputation of being one of the best in the industry!

TITANIUM is used for any of your white ink printing on White to Light colored garments that are going to need a white underbase. TITANIUM will NOT yellow in direct UV sunlight prior to washing. It’s a GREAT pretreatment if you don’t want the potential for the pretreated areas to yellow in the sun!

PLATINUM is our premium DTG pretreatment designed for white ink printing on dark garments. Providing superior coverage and white ink gel time you’ll find that PLATINUM is great for MOST of your daily DTG prints.

WHAT IS DTG PRETREATMENT & WHY DO WE NEED IT?

DTG Pretreatment for Direct To Garment printing is a fluid that is applied to any garment to create a foundation for the DTG ink to adhere to the surface of the fabric. It is most often commonly used to create that “primer” base for white ink when printing on a garment and it gels the white ink so that the CMYK color ink can then be printed onto the shirt. You can think of DTG pretreatment as the primer for the inks to help you achieve great looking prints. 

You can divide most pretreatments into two camps. The first is for white ink printing. These direct to garment pretreatments are designed to allow you to print a white ink base and/or highlight that will partially gel the white ink so that you can print the colored inks without it bleeding into the white ( i.e. white ink mixing with the colors when printed).

The other camp is for CMYK only printing. Pretreatments like our LIGHT Shirt Formula allow the CMYK to control dot gain more effectively which gives you sharper images, wider color gamuts, and increased vibrancy and wash durability. These pretreatments also have the ability to allow for CMYK prints on 100% polyester fabrics that can look and feel like sublimation with similar wash characteristics. It can be used to really increase the look of any DTG print on white or light colored garments.
