Brother GT3 B-Series Inks for DTG printing

Image Armor B-Series Inks Now Available in Canada Through DTGInkCanada.com

The Image Armor B-Series inks, which are a third party ink solution for the Brother GT3 DTG printer, are now available in Canada through DTGInksCanada.com based out of Manitoba. These inks feature the same cure time and color characteristics of the original OEM inks.

The B-Series inks are a drop in bag replacement and not an entire cartridge. The original OEM cartridges are used, opened and the original OEM bag removed. The new 380cc B-Series bags are inserted into the cart, the cartridge is then closed up and used in the printer like normal.

It is highly recommended to not mix the OEM and Image Armor B-Series Inks and the white inks should be replaced when the weekly flushing routine is finished and white ink is ready to be reloaded into the printer. The CMYK can be loaded behind the OEM and filled with an Initial Cleaning. See our PDF on converting the  B-SERIES Inks Conversion Document – PDF Version.

New B-Series DTG Inks and 100% Black Polyester Printing

100-percent-black-polyester-with-gt3-b-series-inksWe thought this would be a fun little print to show that you can print 100% black polyester fabrics with the Image Armor Series of DTG inks. This design was printed on a Brother GT3 with the soon to be released B-Series inks. We pretreated the polyester fabric with Image Armor Ultra and heat set under the heat press. We didn’t press it, but just hover cured. Then, we maxed out the white ink settings in the Brother, and printed….. Came out looking great.

As you can see in the picture, the image was printed on a Sport-Tek ST340. Image Armor is opening up a world of new possibilities for EVERY major DTG printer on the market.

We will try to post a video of the process soon to show, yes, you can print polyesters with the IA ink sets.

New B-SERIES Inks On The Way

The Brother GT3 Ink sets are just around the corner. We are doing final field trials and wanted to show some stuff we were printing to give rise to your imagination. The new B-Series Image Armor inks are performing incredibly well in the Brother GT3 printers and with the Image Armor pretreatments.

Brother GT3 DTG printer with Image Armor InksMost Brother users will not see any real changes in their day to day activities. The B-Series inks continue the Image Armor tradition of a great 35 second cure time for white ink with increased wash durability and ease of use.

Interested parties can sign up on our SUBSCRIBE page to get updates as we release more information (or click the SUBSCRIBE link in the menu bar at the top of this page). Final pricing has not yet been set, however pricing is expected to be significantly less than the current Brother ink prices. This means more profit for your business and better end products for your customers.

In addition, the B-Series inks perform incredibly well with the new RTP Apparel Ready To Print DTG engineered t-shirts that require no pretreatment. Just pick, print, and cure… for more information see the RTP Apparel website at www.rtpapparel.com.

Improve the DTG Prints From Your Brother GT3 Garment Printer

IMPROVE THE LOOK OF YOUR BROTHER DTG PRINTS

The Brother GT3 Garment Printer does a great job printing shirts. We wanted to show you how you can dramatically improve the quality output of your DTG printer simply by pretreating. The application and use of Image Armor LIGHT Shirt Pretreatment Formula will greatly enhance the prints off your Brother printer. This isn’t just applicable to the newer GT3 series of printers, but also to Closeup-of-Brother-GT3-Ink-Pretreatment---no-pretreatment-on-100-cotton-shirtthe older GT541 and GT782 series. By using the LIGHT Shirt Formula with the older series, Image Armor LIGHT will help make your new or old printer look like it just started taking steroids with the increased color, vibrancy and detail you see as soon as you start printing.

Clicking on the image at the left will bring up a higher-res image. This shirt was pretreated on the left hand side of the shirt while the right side of the shirt was left untreated. We applied the Image Armor LIGHT Shirt Formula at about 20 grams of pretreatment for a 14″x14″ area (35.5cm x 35.5cm). The pretreatment was heat set with two 20 second presses at 330F with high pressure using a silicone parchment paper and letting the steam out in between heat presses. The image was then printed and cured as normal on the Brother garment printer.

You can easily see the yellows are significantly more yellow and not “muddied”. The Image Armor LIGHT Shirt Formula helps hold the details and brings out the true colors and detail that just a plain 100% cotton shirt can not show.

Closeup-Full-Size-Image-of-Brother-GT3-Inks-and-Pretreatment-no-pretreatmentIf you really want to take your DTG prints to the next level, give the LIGHT Shirt Formula a try. It will help EVERY DTG printer on the market printing CMYK ink improve the quality, detail, and color fastness of the images. This will make your printer look even better than it ever could by itself.

We know that this will improve your DTG prints significantly which is why you can try it out for free. If you have not tried Image Armor LIGHT yet, you can fill out our on-line form for a free quart sample (Continental United States only) that is ready -to-use. Just spray it on the shirt, heat set, and print your design and cure the ink. We know you’ll be impressed.
