Image Armor Partner RTP Apparel is Now Shipping Sample Paks

Image Armor is proud to announce that our partnership with RTP Apparel has resulted in the new DTG Ready to Print garment shirts are now shipping in Sample Paks. RTP Apparel is a new venture tasked with removing the job of pretreating shirts for direct to garment printing. The new RTP Apparel garments are engineered from the threads up to be ready to print – the entire shirt is pretreated. You can print on the front, back, side, sleeve – even inside of the shirt with your DTG printer.

The Sample Paks contain 2 white shirts and 2 black shirts – ready to print. Just pull the shirt, heat press for 10-20 seconds to remove all moisture and then print. That’s all there is to it. No messing with pretreatment anymore.

And you know that the shirt will work. RTP Apparel utilizes the Image Armor pretreatments giving you the best possible DTG printing surface and interface possible.

Ricoh Print Head R-Series InksImage Armor is proud to announce the release of the new R-Series DTG inks for DTG printers that use the Ricoh Gen 4 printheads.  The R-SERIES inks carry on the legacy of our E-Series which include:

  • 35 second white ink cure time – save time and make more money.
  • More productivity during printing and curing.
  • Incredible white ink coverage.
  • Increased wash durability.

The biggest features DTG owners of Ricoh based print heads will find attractive is the 35 second white ink cure time. Using Image Armor ULTRA with Brother OEM White Ink

white-skull-brother-image-armor-comparison-on-pt-400px-slant-view

Over the past several months we have been testing the Image Armor ULTRA with Brother’s white OEM ink. We wanted to present our findings with the industry.

In the past, we really did not effectively endorse using our Image Armor ULTRA dark shirt pretreatment with Brother OEM inks. However, in our most recent testing we found that there was virtually NO difference between the results of using Brother OEM pretreatment or Image Armor ULTRA Dark Shirt Formula.

We found that ULTRA gelled the white ink just as quickly and effectively as the OEM pretreatment.

Take a look at the picture below.

white-skull-brother-image-armor-comparison-on-pt-400px-picture

Photographed at the same time side-by-side, are you able to tell which is Brother pretreatment and which one is Image Armor ULTRA pretreatment? Although it is very difficult to discern any difference between the two prints on your computer screen, there is one that looks slightly better than the other (to give you a hint it is not the OEM). Click on the image to get a larger view to see the actual full results labeled at the bottom of the photograph.

We used the same shirt for each print – the Spectra Tees 3100 series black shirt. While using different pretreatments, we did apply the same exact amount and cured the pretreatments the same exact way on a Viper XPT-1000 pretreatment machine. Even the print itself was exactly the same. Below you can see our settings for the above print.

Brother White Ink Print Driver Image Armor PT

The Highlight was set to 7 while the Mask was set to 5. The shirts were printed immediately one after the other.

After printing, the ink was cured on a Hotronix manual heat press at 356F for 35 seconds using light pressure.

As cane be seen in the photo above, there was no real visible difference between the OEM pretreatment and using Image Armor ULTRA. This makes the ULTRA a great choice for Brother printer owners looking for a good alternative pretreatment that is ready to use – no mixing required.

If you have NOT tried Image Armor ULTRA yet, we want you to give it a try for FREE. This link will take you to a page talking about our Image Armor LIGHT Shirt pretreatment formula, but by filling out the questions and clicking that you use white ink we will also send a free quart of Image Armor ULTRA.

If you are not familiar with Image Armor LIGHT shirt formula for CMYK prints this pretreatment alls for printing on all types of fabrics from polyester to 100% cotton garments (for CMYK prints only). We know you’ll be amazed at the results or we wouldn’t be giving these samples away for free.

So, if you are looking for an easier to user pretreatment that requires no mixing, give Image Armor a try. You can find a dealer near you on our PURCHASE page.

New B-SERIES Inks Coming and 50/50 Shirt Printing

b-series-50-50-shirt-with-and-without-pt-sample-300pxThings are progressing very well with the B-SERIES of Image Armor inks. The B-Series are the latest DTG inks for the Brother GT series of direct to garment printers. We are really working hard to make sure the B-Series competes and excels in color intensity, wash and price points for everyone who owns a Brother series garment printer.

The sample image to the left shows the difference too what printing with the B-SERIS of inks can do in conjunction with our Image Armor LIGHT Shirt pretreatment. Both shirts are printed on Jerseys 50/50 29M t-shirts but the left side is pretreated with Image Armor LIGHT. The right side has no pretreatment.

While the right side still looks good, you will see an amazing transformation using the LIGHT Shirt formula that improves image sharpness and color intensity. Generally polyester blends will have colors that are muted but combining our B-SERIES inks with the LIGHT Shirt Formula the shirt print is taken to the next level.

More information will be coming soon in regards to the Brother inks and the official release date and price points.

New RTP Apparel Prints Incredibly Well on Epson F2000

New RTP Apparel Prints Incredibly Well on Epson F2000

Epson F2000 Print on RTP Apparel Ready To Print DTG ShirtsAt the 2016 Ft. Worth Imprinted Sportswear Show we had an opportunity to show off the Image Armor technology being used in the new RTP Apparel shirts. These shirts are engineered for DTG printing..

The RTP Apparel stands for Ready To Print. There is absolutely no pretreatment process necessary for these shirts to be DTG ready. Simply heat press for 10-15 seconds to get rid of any moisture in the shirts, load, and print.

We would like to thank Equipment Zone for printing this awesome design on their Epson F2000. It was noted that this design was printed with the Garment Creator standard default settings for white ink. We were told that they would utilize the next bump up in white ink enhanced printing to achieve the same results they got with just the default printer settings (see inset).

We have heard this multiple times from our RTP Apparel field testers. The report has been they have gotten as good or better prints with the RTP Apparel shirts than they could with machine pretreated shirts.

Also, RTP Apparel shirts allow for printing anywhere on the garment. You can print on the front, back, side, sleeve, with no additional preparation necessary. Just load the shirt and print. This allows for more creative and larger prints to be achieved with no staining or discoloration issues that can sometimes happen with “normal” shirts.

The interest in RTP Apparel shirts has been extremely high and we recommend signing up on the RTP Apparel website to “get in line” to be able to purchase these new ready to print shirts. Learn more on the RTP Apparel website.
